Delaney Hart has come a long way from her wild youth, dating tattooed bikers at her father’s bar, The Bad Seed. But when his death pulls her back to Wildwood, California, she must stay to renovate the dive he left her. And also face the lies and secrets that sent her running ten years before.

When Wildwood’s chief building inspector, Ethan Hayes, shows up on the property, Delaney doesn’t recognize him. The last thing he wants to do is save the bar where his cousin died in a brawl. But the good boy from her past is all too willing to remind her of the bad girl she used to be. And one night of passion leaves them both in a compromising position.

The last place Ethan should be is in Delaney’s bed. Guilt, family pressure, and plans for a brewpub of his own make shutting down The Bad Seed his top priority…until his feelings for Delaney interfere. Because her future depends on the success of the bar’s renovation and his dreams are rooted in its failure, their forbidden romance may be destined for heartbreak.

I was very pleased with Forbidden Fling. It’s the first book I’ve read by Skye Jordan and I wasn’t sure what to expect. So many Contemporary Romances resemble each other. It’s sometimes hard to tell them apart. Forbidden Fling was one that stood out from the crowd. The fast-paced story was beautifully written and exciting to read. I loved all the issues the history of Wildwood’s families created.

Forbidden Fling was a forbidden romance. It centers around the small town of Wildwood and family histories of its inhabitants. Delaney and Ethan should hate each other based on one horrible incident in their pasts, but one glorious night together makes that impossible. No matter how many reasons there are to stay away from each other, they can’t fight their growing attraction.

The characters in Forbidden Fling were so well thought out. I loved Delaney and Ethan. Their chemistry was off the charts sexy, and they had such a sweet relationship. But what I loved just as much were all the supporting characters. They added so much to the story! Ethan’s entire scandalous family made the story so much more interesting! For once, it wasn’t the love story that drove me to read the book, but what was going on all around it. I loved it!

My only little complaint about the story was how quickly it wrapped up at the end. I was surprised when it ended. I expected a little more of what the future entailed for Delaney and Ethan. Although, I do have a feeling I’ll get to see more of them in book 2!

Forbidden Fling was a wonderful Contemporary Romance. I would highly recommend it to Contemporary Romance readers who love a great story combined with sensual scenes.

    1. It was really good. Way better than I expected. I won it from GR and sometimes those books are hit or miss. This was a big hit!
