Top Ten Tuesday is an original weekly feature created by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s theme is Halloween Related Freebie. I am not a fan of scary novels but I do read thrillers every once in a while, so I decided to go with Ten Books That Put Me On Edge.
Great list! I’m so looking forward to Jagger! 😀
I hope you enjoy it! It’s even darker than Junkie!
I hope so too! 😀
Oooh Weight of Blood is such a great mystery! Sharp Objects too – so creepy!!
They both were! Someone just told me Laura McHugh has a second book out now. I’m going to have to check it out because her first was so good!
I had no idea she had another book out! I thought the first one was great!
Me either! I saw it on another TTT. Now I’m excited to read it!
I can totally see why these books might put you on edge! Gillian Flynn is a very creepy writer.
Yes, she is! I don’t know how she comes up with that stuff. I would freak myself out!
Yikes! I don’t know if I could read those!! Probably would have nightmares. Fun topic this week though.
They weren’t too scary, just more thrilling. But they did put me on edge!
Not my favorite feeling!! lol
I need to read a Tara French book soon. And I have another Laura McHugh book on my list – Arrowood I believe. Mud Vein is a good one for this list!!
I’m going to have to look Arrowood up! I didn’t realize she had another book.
I haven’t read any of these, but I love the cover for Jagger. It doesn’t look scary, which intrigues me.
Jagger is not scary at all, just dark. It’s the second book in the Broken Doll series.
I just went and read the synopsis. It sounds very intense.
Great list!
Thank you!
I’ve never been able to get in to reading Thrillers for some reason but I like the looks of Jagger so I might give it a shot. 😀
If you’re interested in it, start with Junkie. It’s the first book. The drama builds from it. 😉
ooh cool to see gillian flynn on here!
Thanks! 🙂 I love her stuff — even if it does stress me out!
you’re welcome! I know the feeling!!!
Sharp Objects is on my TBR but I don’t know when or if I’ll ever get to it.
My TTT: https://jjbookblog.wordpress.com/2016/10/25/top-ten-tuesday-80/
I hope you do get to it because it was a good one. Happy reading!
Thanks!
In the Woods is definitely on my TBR list!!
I hope you enjoy it! I read it and the second book and thought they were both dark and good.
I’ve always wanted to read Sharp Objects! I’m glad to see it being recommended here. <3
I think it and Dark Places were even better than Gone Girl because there wasn’t all the hype surrounding them when I read them. I hope you get to read it soon!
I’ve heard a little bit about In the Woods and have been tempted a couple of times when I’ve seen it in the store. Will have to look for it at the library. Great list!
Yes, it’s the perfect book to get from the library. I also read the second book in the series and enjoyed it. Thank you!
The Weight of Blood sounds interesting. I’ll check it out.
How was Those Girls?
Great list!
Those Girls was very intense. I had to take a ton of breaks while reading it. But it was good. The Weight of Blood was really good, too! Thank you!
I’ve only read Hannibal from your list, which probably means I’m now going to be adding to my TBR list again 😀
Yay!
I really enjoyed reading Sharp Objects, much more than reading The Grownup. Hannibal is on my list of books to read already but I think I’ll be adding some more books to my TBR after reading your list!
Thanks for visiting my post earlier 🙂
Thanks! I hope you found some good ones. 🙂
Great list! In the Woods looks really intriguing – I’ll have to check that one out 🙂
It was good! 🙂 Thank you!
YES for Sharp Objects. Have you read her novel Dark Places? That’s my favorite by her!

Yes! I loved both of them. 🙂
love love love Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn! Have you read her other novels? There are also a few other books on your list that I have on my TBR but have yet to read! Now I want to get to them sooner! 😛
Yes, I have. 🙂 I’m so happy you found some to push up your list!
I’ve heard good things about In the Woods in the past. Great list. 🙂
Thank you!
