My topic for this Freebie will be: My Ten Favorite Dance Movies. Some of these might be new to you youngins. 😉

1. Girls Just Wanna Have Fun
Girls Just Wanna Have Fun was my favorite movie FOREVER. I still love it!
2. Dirty Dancing
I’m a HUGE Dirty Dancing fan. My BFF introduced me to it in high school and I’ve watched it SO many times. We even saw the Broadway musical version.
3. Footloose

Sorry 2014 version, the original 1984 version is still my favorite. Can’t beat Kevin Bacon cutting loose in a warehouse.
4. Flashdance
Gotta love Jennifer Beals in her 80’s dance outfits!
5. Breakin’
I’m sad to admit it, but I didn’t come across Breakin’ until last year. It’s a real gem.
6. Step Up

7. Strictly Ballroom
Gosh, this one is just fun.
8. Magic Mike
I swear I only watched it for the plot! 😉 The dancing was magical, though.
9. Step Up 3D
All of the Step Up movies are fun, but this one is my favorite after the original.
10. Pitch Perfect
I know, I know. It was more a singing movie than a dance movie, but you have to admit there were some pretty sweet dance moves involved.

Thank you! I saw that 2014 version. It was okay, but the original is SO much better. It is probably best to avoid the 2014 version because nothing beats Kevin Bacon dancing in a warehouse. 🙂
I love Dirty Dancing! (It narrowly missed out on a space on my list), I think I’ve only seen the first two Step Up films but I do have a soft spot for them 🙂

Step Up 2, I love! I also just watched Girls Just Wanna Have Fun for the first time a couple months ago. My husband liked the movie, but I’d never seen it.
You hadn’t seen it!?!? That was my favorite movie for the longest time ever. That and The Hobbit cartoon are the first couple of movies I remember watching on our VCR after we got it. Lol.
I haven’t seen The Hobbit carton either! Shame on me! hahaha

My TTT for this week
I absolutely love Step Up. The first one was just the right balance between epic dancing and a good storyline. I’m not that big a fan of the rest of the films in this franchise but I think that’s down to the fact that Jenna and Channing aren’t in them haha.
So true. Jenna and Channing are the ultimate Step Up couple. I wish they would have been a part of the whole franchise. Sadly (not really) they were too good and got too famous.

Oh, man, these are classics! My aunt had a MASSIVE poster of Patrick Swayze on her ceiling for the entirety of her teen years after Dirty Dancing came out. Have you ever seen Save the Last Dance? It came up on my suggestions on Netflix, and I do love a good dance movie, but I was curious if you’d seen it and if it’s any good. Great list for this week either way! 😀

I liked the first Step Up, but then I saw a sequel I didn’t like so much, and didn’t watch any of the other ones. Now I wonder how many there are… Love Dirty Dancing, though. You have to have a showy finale! 🙂

Dirty Dancing! I’ve seen bits and pieces of Pitch Perfect when it was one a few months ago but I fell asleep (since I was so tired with the baby haha) which was a shame.
Babies will do that to you. I was exhausted for 2 years straight. I don’t think I saw a movie during that time at all. (But my kiddo didn’t sleep through the night until 2. She liked to party all night.)
