Top Ten Tuesday: Favorite Tropes

Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday!

Top Ten Tuesday is an original weekly feature created by The Broke and the Bookish and is now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s topic is:

Favorite Tropes

I think I pretty much love all of them, but here we go…

1. Friends to lovers

2. Enemies to lovers

3. Second chance at love

4. Fake relationships

5. Secret babies

6. Office romances

7. Childhood friends

8. Falling for their sibling’s best friend

9. Sports romances

10. Roommates

What tropes did I forget? I know I forgot some…

    1. I get what you’re saying. It’s not always believable. I just read a book that had one that was really good.

  1. Friends to lovers and second chances are ones that I’ve enjoyed. I think falling for a sibling’s best friend can be cute too. Roommates is a good one too!

  2. I have at least half of these on my list! I didn’t include office or sports romances, but I do love them! I’m not as fond of the secret baby one though if it’s done well I might like it.

  3. With a lot of these tropes, you get to know something the characters don’t know, which I find very satisfying. Like ‘oh, this relationship is fake, is it? Uh-huh…’ πŸ˜€

  4. YESSS! So many great picks. Honestly, I’m always a sucker for enemies to lovers tropes. I can’t get enough of them when they’re done well. They’re just so fun and angsty and full of chemistry and UGH, they just hit the sweet spot.

  5. Friends to Lovers is great!

I am trying to think about how to describe this trope, like in Notebook. Poor Guy/Rich Girl and Family against the relationship haha. I like such story lines.
