Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday!
My freebie topic is:
Gateway (Books) to Romance
These are all non-romance books that lead to reading romance by tricking you into falling in love with an author who writes different genres.
1. Mud Vein ⇒ Atheists Who Kneel and Pray
Author: Tarryn Fisher
I’m not truly sure how to categorize Mud Vein…maybe Suspense? Chances are it will leave you wanting to read all of Tarryn Fisher’s books, half of which are romances like Atheists Who Kneel and Pray.
2. Verity ⇒ Ugly Love
Author: Colleen Hoover
Colleen Hoover is known for her romances, but if you find her through her psychological thriller Verity you might just find yourself reading her romances like my friend did.
3. The Ghostwriter ⇒ Hollywood Dirt
Author: Alessandra Torre
Alessandra Torre writes a wide range a books. It would be easy to fall in love with her writing in The Ghostwriter and then end up reading one of her romances like Hollywood Dirt.
4. Stillhouse Lake ⇒ Glass Houses
Author: Rachel Caine
This one is kind of a stretch. Rachel Caine writes a really good thriller, but she also writes a lot of paranormal romance-ish books. Her Morganville Vampire series has a fun romance aspect to it as well.
5. He Will Be My Ruin ⇒ Ten Tiny Breaths
Author: K.A. Tucker
Yep. It’s another author who writes both thrillers and romances.
6. Naked in Death ⇒ Vision in White
Author: Nora Roberts/J.D. Robb
If you enjoy Eve Dallas kicking serial killer butts in the In Death series, you’re bound to want to read Roberts’s softer side in Vision in White
7. Dark Witch ⇒ The Next Always
Author: Nora Roberts
This is kind of a repeat, but Nora Roberts wears so many different writing hats. If you like her fantasy novels, you will probably love her romances.
8. Always Time to Die ⇒ Eden Burning
Author: Elizabeth Lowell
I’m going old school with this one, but Elizabeth Lowell writes some great mysteries. If you like them, you’re going to love her romance novels.
9. The Raging Ones ⇒ Amour Amour
Authors: Krista & Becca Ritchie
If you fell in love with Krista & Becca Ritchie’s writing in the sci-fi YA novel The Raging Ones, you’re almost guaranteed to love their circus romance Amour Amour.
10. Pivot Point ⇒ The Fill-In Boyfriend
Author: Kasie West
Pivot Point is the one of two fantasy novels Kasie West wrote. If you want more of her writing, you will fall in love with her contemporary books like The Fill-In Boyfriend.
