Welcome to WWW Wednesday!

WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words. The purpose is to share what I’ve reading lately. The three W’s stand for:

What did you recently finish reading?
What are you currently reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Recently Read

Not going to lie. The COVID-19 news in Seattle has taken over my life a bit. I’ve been watching WAY too much news and not reading as much. I’m south of Seattle, and what they’re predicting freaks me out. I’m definitely concerned about the virus.  Thankfully, I’ve had some good books to read to help balance out the anxiety. I read ARCs of Bench Player (Charleston Thrashers, #2) and Taming Hollywood’s Baddest Boy.

Currently Reading

I’m reading The Trade.

Reading Next

I need to catch up on some ARCs. Not sure which one will be next.

What are you reading? Make sure to leave me your link below so I can check out your post. 🙂

  1. Ugh, sorry to hear it’s hitting so close to home. We just had a confirmed case one county over from me so it’s right here at our door. Scary stuff. Thank goodness for the escape of reading.

    1. Yes, it’s a scary time. I would just say be prepared for it to explode there if you have one case. It’s not contained. It’s also not like the flu, from what we’re hearing here. They started out saying it was, but things have quickly changed.

    1. Yes, it’s a crazy time. We had a few schools and one district close and then the Gov told them all to prepare for closing and get plans in place. Seattle SD just closed for 2 weeks and I know things will begin to ripple down South toward me next.

  2. I’m sorry to hear that; stay safe! Books might be a good distraction from all that bad news though… 😉 xx

      1. I’m honestly trying to limit my time reading the news because it makes me feel very anxious… That said, it’s easy to talk this way as things in Argentina are still pretty mild for now I guess. xx

        1. I hear ya. I did better at it yesterday. Pretty much everything besides grocery stores and pharmacies are closed here. We’re in the thick of it.

          1. Yikes! They are starting preventive measures down here as well… The schools are closed as well as restaurants, bars and stuff; stores are still open but try to limit the amount of people inside at the same time, and people are supposed to stay at home… Not that most of them are listening to that for now though.

          2. That’s how it is in the US. It’s going to be a nightmare here…

    1. Thanks! We’re trying to! Stay safe and practice social distancing! I feel like other states aren’t getting quite the coverage we are daily. It’s a huge issues. Schools just got notice they’re closing for 6 weeks starting Monday here. That’s HUGE.

  3. omg the COVID-19 has been taking over the news feeds! I too have not been reading as much this week bc of it but have been grateful for the escape when I could find the time! Lovely WWW post 🙂

    1. Yep. That’s exactly what’s been going on here. We just got notice that beginning Monday all schools in our county (and 2 others) will be closed for 6 WEEKS.

    1. It’s SUPER scary! Trying to keep myself and family safe and healthy. As of Monday, school is cancelled for the next 6 weeks.

      1. I’m part of the “admin team” at work since I’m the executive assistant and we’ve all been told to watch our governor’s daily press conference so I’ve been watching much more than I’ve wanted to haha.

        1. It’s quite terrifying — especially here in Seattle area. Our libraries are actually closed.

          1. We’re closing all our branches for 3 weeks, too (same as the schools). Staff are going in Monday to wrap some stuff up and then we’re out until the first week of April. I’ll still have some work I can do remotely, though.

          2. That’s good. Keep your mind working. I think the six weeks here is going to be hard for my social only child who is used to doing sports at least 3 times a week. And for my husband who hates just hanging around the house. I see lots of projects getting done.

          3. Yeah kids are going to be climbing the walls. I feel like I’ve been practicing social distancing all my life, though, and it’s finally my time to shine lol.
Does your library have access to Creativebug? It has lots of art and craft type of tutorials and ideas that could help?
