Week #4/5 of our Stay at Home Order here in Washington State has me finally back in my reading groove. Thank goodness because it’s providing me with some much needed mental calm. No more ARCs on my ereader, so this week was all about mood reads. I read Pucks & Penalties: Pucked Series Deleted Scenes & Outtakes 2.0 (Pucked, #6.5), The Boy Next Door, Parental Guidance (Ice Knights, #1), Throw Like a Girl, You’d Be Mine, and Pike (The Pawn Duet, #1).

I’m reading Bachelor Boss (The Bachelors Club, #2).
Reading Next
I’m taking the opportunity to read Beef Cake (Green Valley Chronicles, #19; Donnor Bakery, #4) since all of the SmartyPants Romances were put in KU.

I’m so happy you finally got to read Throw Like a Girl! What did you think of it?
I actually really liked it. Maybe even loved. It started out a little rocky, but quickly moved for me. I didn’t want it to end!
Have you read Erin Hahn’s You’d Be Mine? That book was so good!

I don’t know if it still is, but her upcoming book was on NG. I think it might have been read now? Maybe not anymore.

I finally feel like I’m starting to get into the reading groove again too. I am mostly just reading whatever I like rather than ARCs but I figure that at least I’m reading, one step at a time.
I’m certainly going a lot heavier on romances than usual so I may check out some of the books on your list. I do really need to read on a bit in the Pucked series.

Yes, I did! Parental Guidance took me a bit to get into, but I did like it. I thought AWK-WEIRD, the second book, was better though. It’s on sale for $.99 right now — or it was.
I will have to look into it if it’s on sale. I haven’t read anything from this author yet.

I LOVED IT!!!
So I had a hard time getting into the first book. Once I made it past all that douchery, I ended up really enjoying it. Might be worth giving it another chance depending how far you got in. She made him likable. As for this one, it’s cracking me up because they like each other but are doing EVERYTHING to annoy each other. It’s an office romance.

Curious how you liked Throw Like a Girl and You’d Be Mine (two of my faves). I thought Parental Guidance was fun too. I am actually really enjoying the series, and eager for the next book.

I just love that Penny Reid’s books have become a total world that other people can write into! I have been a fan of hers since I stumbled across Neanderthal (which is still my favorite!). Wait, maybe Jethro’s book is my favorite. So hard to choose!

It’s part of a series, but I read it without having read the rest (each is written by a different author).

Lots of good choices here! I’m still not in that big of a reading mood on my 4th week working from home. I have been reading some, but my anxiety/mood is all over the place, so it’s not steady reading.
