Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday!
Top Ten Tuesday is an original weekly feature created by The Broke and the Bookish and is now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s topic is:
Books I Wish I Had Read As a Child
I pretty much just wish their had been a New Adult romance genre when I was in my late teens and early 20’s. So I am switching up topics this week to:
Ten Kindle Unlimited Romance Recommendations
Hopefully all of these are still in the KU program when this post goes live. All titles are linked to Amazon so that you can take advantage of their KU status. (I’m not affiliated with this program in any way. Just sharing some favorites.)
Would it surprise you that I’ve actually read a few books on this list!? And I still need to get to the first two books in that Washington Wolves series. Great list!
No…but yes! LOL. Yes, get on that! π I’m waiting for the next book after Focused to come out next month.
Thank you!
I wasn’t pleasure reading in my late teens/early 20s, but I am glad we are getting more NA, and more quality NA books these days. I loved the Guy on the Right, and I have had really good luck with Grey’s books as well. I have actually read many of these authors (I love contemporary romance!), but need to check out The Assist. Sports romance are my catnip, and basketball isn’t featured too widely.
I wasn’t either, but maybe I would have been if there was an NA? I’d like to think so! Oh! You’ll love the Smart Jocks series then! Definitely read the Assist. Each gets better.
oh yes…I totally agree. I wish there had been NA when I was a teen as well, there wasn’t even that much YA ….literature in romance both YA and Adult has grown so quickly. Love seeing your recommendations you have here. I have read a couple of these, and I will look into the others you listed. Thank you for sharing
So true! I hope you find one to read and love.
Oh boy, do I ever agree, Deanna. The new adult age was just skipped right over when I was that age. Kids books, teen books, adult books. That whole upper YA/college age/early 20’s time period was just not represented. I wish I’d had NA when I actually was NA. π
Your recs include several that are already on my Kindle that I want to read: The Guy on the Right, Dirty English, and The Upside of Falling.
Right? I was reading Nora Roberts at like 17 or 18. I loved it, but I would have loved having a genre more for myself.
I love hearing that! I hope you love them all!
Great list! I will have to check some of these out. From the looks of these books I would really recommend Melody Anne. Her books are great!
Hereβs my list; http://bookwormsanonymous.blog/2020/04/28/top-ten-tuesday-books-id-want-on-a-desert-island/
Thank you! I think I’ve read a few of hers before. I’ll have to check out her newer ones. Thanks for the recommendation!
Very true! I remember reading my mom’s romance novels. I would have loved having a genre dedicated for my age. π
Yes! I was reading Nora Roberts at 18. So different today.
So, would you say KU is worth the money? I’ve contemplated getting it, but I don’t want to waste money if there aren’t titles I’d really be interested in … What’s your experience been like?
Happy TTT!

For me, it has been. I don’t buy near as many books as I used to. They usually have a deal around Mother’s Day on it, so it was like $6.99/month for me. Even at $9.99/month, it would be worth it. If I read at a couple books a month from it, it’s basically covering the cost. I find I don’t spend near as much on books. You should look through their KU library and see if there are books you’re interested in. There was also a free month deal, so maybe you could try it out.
I don’t have KU, but this is a great list of recommendations!
Thanks! I got it a while back when there was a big deal on it. They were offering a month free, so you might still be able to take advantage of that.
What a great list! And, yeah, the new adult subgenre should have been invented many years ago. It’s so handy.
My TTT .
Thank you! I know, right? π
Great list! New Adult isn’t really a genre I’ve explored much as of yet, but it’s a genre I’d be interested in trying more of. I’ll have to check some of these out!
Thank you! I hope you find one that fits well with your style of read.
Wow! These look hot & steamy! Definitely not children’s books, haha! Great list, I will have to check one of these out on KU.

Not children’s books at all! LOL. Let me know if you try one and what you think!
Loved The Bombshell Effect, and I fell in a deep Meagan Brandy hole last year – SO GOOD!!!
I love hearing that! My favorite was The Marriage Effect because I read it first. LOL. Did you read this new MB book yet? It’s my favorite of hers so far.
The one about the sister and the neighbor, and the window? lol
No, the fake marriage one.
I’m not sure these books would be for me, but I met Ginger Scott last year! She was at the Colorado Teen Literature conference and she either did one or two seminars that I attended. She was really nice.
Ginger Scott is such an amazing writer and person. I met her couple of years ago, too! She has some books that aren’t strictly romance. You might be able to give A Boy Like You or Cowboy Villain Damsel Duel a try.
I’ve never read Kate Stewart, but I’d like to give her a try. π
Try this one for sure then! It’s a really fun book and series.
I haven’t read any of these, but all these coversa make me want to rectify that immediately lol!
LOL. I hope you do end up reading at least one. π
I really need to check out KU more often! I can only access the Canadian content, so sometimes I am disappointed in the selection. They are definitely getting better at their offerings. Lots of great titles on your list!
Oh, that’s a bummer. I didn’t realize the content was different.
Kindle Unlimited tempts me.
I really love having it. It works out $ wise for me because I read so much.
I need to read Meghan Quinn! Thank you for this post. Wading through KU is a whole process so I’m going to go search for these.
Yes! I am surprised Ari hasn’t forced her books at you yet. I agree. It’s a little tough to search through KU sometimes. Having recommendations helps.
Fun twist on the topic! You know, I’ve been wondering for a while whether Kindle Unlimited would be of interest to me, but it seems like they really do have a great selection of books.
Thank you! They do have a pretty wide selection, especially if you read romance.
Agreed, I wish there had been a New Adult genre when I was the appropriate age for it! Then again, I guess at the time I read whatever I felt like and didn’t pay attention to genre, so I might not have noticed… π
LOL. So true for me as well! Or I was busy reading a textbook.
Looks like there’s a lot of fun and sexy reads on this list. π
Loving all these recs!! My KU ends in November so I need to get a move on!!
Yes! You should watch for deals around Mother’s and Father’s Day. They usually have a big discount and it can be added onto the end of your current subscription. Usually takes it from like $9.99/month to like $6.99/month.
Thanks for your visit to my page.
Same as you, I changed the topic since I did a similar one last year (Top Ten Books I wish I read as a kid). My TTT this week is an old one I missed (Books I’ll Never Read).
You’re welcome!
Always need more KU recs so I’ll be checking these out, always need to try and make the most of my subscription.
Yay! Yes, it’s nice to be able to take better advantage of it.
Thanks for all of the great recs! I’m old so didn’t have much in the way of YA or NA growing up so these are much appreciated. π
I’m in the same boat! You’re welcome!
