Falling in love was the easy part.
Being secretly in love with my brother’s best friend is where it got tricky.
Levi Dent was off-limits. Which was probably for the best, since he barely knew I existed.
Until one night I saw an opportunity I couldn’t resist.
The problem was, I got caught.
She tricked me.
I knew there was something so familiar about her, but I just couldn’t resist.
Hannah Matthews was nothing more than my best friend’s little sister. Except she wasn’t so little anymore.
I need to forget all about her.
If only it were that easy…
I loved Chicks, Man, but I have to admit that it wasn’t what I was expecting. I knew it was going to have a brother’s best friend trope. What I wasn’t expecting was it to turn into an office romance and have a romantic suspense plot woven in. The first wasn’t quite as shocking as the second. Chicks, Man was just a lot more complex than the romantic comedy I was expecting from J.D. Hollyfield. That’s not a bad thing, though. It was actually really entertaining. I loved the humor and chemistry I expected mixed in with a crazy storyline. It was lots of fun!
My favorite thing about Chicks, Man had to be how grown up Hannah and Levi connected. There were so many sweet moments between them. It was also fun to get a look at how frustrating it was for Hannah to grow up in the shadow of her brother and his friends. I loved how she came into her own and told off a couple of people.
So, yeah. Overall, it was a really fun romance. Not quite was I expecting, but still funny and swoon worthy.
