Welcome to WWW Wednesday!

WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words. The purpose is to share what I’ve reading lately. The three W’s stand for:

What did you recently finish reading?
What are you currently reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Happy belated Memorial Day to those in the U.S. Thank you to all who have served this country! This was the first Memorial Day in 11 years that we didn’t go camping with all of our friends due to COVID-19. It was sad, but what can you say? We’ve all missed out on so many things.

At least we have good books to read! This week I finished up both Clash (Crash, #2) and The Sundown Motel from last week. Then I read Crush (Crash, #3), Jock Blocked (Copper Valley Fireballs, #1), Liar, Liar, Hearts on Fire (Bro Code, #3), Lies Unspoken (Flawed Love, #1), Love Unspoken (Flawed Love, #2), and an ARC of Again Again. It looks like a lot, but most of them were fairly short reads.

Currently Reading

I’m reading Fool Me Once.

Reading Next

My plan is to continue to knock books off my TBR and read Playing for Keeps (Hot Jocks, #1).

What are you reading? Make sure to leave me your link below so I can check out your post. ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Wow, you got a lot of reading done in the last week! I’ve had that Nicole Williams trilogy on my Kindle for years and still haven’t read it. I misread where you wrote “knock books” (under Reading Next) and thought is said “knock boots.” I’ve been laughing about that ever since. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. LOL. That would be interesting!
That Crash series is crazy. A friend told me I should read it, so I did.

    1. Honestly, it was not my thing. Mostly because of the format. Might be worth reading a few reviews before picking it up to see if it sounds like one you would like.

  2. I’m totally envious about how many books you’re reading! I’m still struggling. I’m currently reading Fortuity by Jewel E. Ann. She’s one of my favorite authors and I’m loving it so far.

    1. At least you’re enjoying it! It’s never about the amount you read. I just had a week where I was doing nothing. The weather was horrible and we’re still on our stay at home order.

  3. That’s a lot of books! How did the Sundown Motel one turn out for you? I didn’t know E Lockhart had a new book coming out either. I look forward to hearing what you think about that.

    1. Yeah, I actually hate that I read that much. It means that NOTHING is going on around here. ๐Ÿ™ Sign of the times.
I really liked The Sun Down Motel. The ghost aspect creeped me out at first, but I got over the quickly. I was surprised at how fast paced it seemed. I was expecting to drag through it like I do some other thrillers (even when I like them).
I didn’t like the E Lockhart book. It’s in a weird format. It might have worked for me if it was just one addition to the “normal format, but it added bolded multi-dimensional stuff that was kind of redundant, prose here and there, and texts. It was just too much for me to wade through to get to the story. The actual story part was good, though. I would be interested to hear if you would have a similar experience or if was just me.

      1. Hmmm. I will think about the Lockhart book. Iโ€™ve only read her first book so far. I generally like non traditional formats, so I might like itโ€™s better than you did? I might have to try the sundown motel. Everyone seems to like it. If I go into it knowing thereโ€™s a paranormal aspect, it may work for me.

    1. I loved it! I did get a little irritated at the end of it, though. I wanted a different outcome in a way.

    1. I did! Then I went and requested the entire rest of the series from the library. I was able to get book 6, so I read that. I can’t wait to finish the series.

  4. Aww! So sad to miss out on traditional events. You really are getting so much reading in these days, though! I am a little bit jealous. Happy reading this week! ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Thanks! There’s not much else to do besides clean while my daughter is doing her school work, so that’s what I’ve been doing. Happy reading to you!

  5. Ah you’ve read A LOT, that’s amazing! How did you like Again, Again? I’m so curious / nervous about that one ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Honestly, I didn’t like it. I’ll have a review up soon. The format was too much for me.

    1. I like it! I’ve only read 2 of them so far. I’m waiting for the library to get the rest.
