Top Ten Tuesday is an original weekly feature created by The Broke and the Bookish and is now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s topic is:
Today’s topic is:
Book Events/Festivals I’d Love to Go to Someday
Oh, boy. What a topic with what’s been going on in the world.
Events:
1. Book Bonanza 2021
I was actually supposed to go to Book Bonanza 2020, so my ticket rolled over to this event. Crossing my fingers it will happen next year.
2. LoveNVegas
3. Shameless Book Con
4. ApollyCon
5. RARE London
6. Music City with the Belles
Bookstores:
7. The Bookworm Box
8. Powell’s City of Books
I’ve been here quite of few times, but want to go agian.
9. Elliot Bay Bookstore
Again, been here, but want to support a local bookstore once it’s safe to again.
10. Third Place Books
I’ve never been, but want to and it’s close enough.
Are there some I’m missing? I’m all about romance novels, so if you know of any I should put on this list, let me know!
I’d love to attend RARE, too.
My TTT .
I hope we get to someday!
I’ve never been to a book festival! I am jealous! Book Bonanza sounds like a lot of fun.
My post: https://mamaneedsabook.blogspot.com/2020/07/book-festivals-of-my-dreams.html
It is a lot of fun! I hope you get to experience one some day.
Hope you’ll get to go to all of these some day and visit those bookstores again soon 🙂
Thanks! I hope so, too!
I went to ApollyCon when it was in Savannah because it was so close to me (relatively). Then it switched to D.C. which is whole lot further. With ApollyCon being cancelled until 2022 I’m waiting to see if the location changes before deciding whether to try and go again.
I would rather go to Savannah than DC. I didn’t realize they were cancelled until 2022. That’s a good move on their part.
I like supporting local bookstores too. Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.
It’s a great thing to do, especially these days.
Powell’s is on my list of must-see bookstores. I also like the sound of Book Bonanza. Great list!
Oh, it’s amazing! You need to go there if you can sometime. Same with Book Bonanza. It’s romance author galore! Thanks!
I feel like I’m a bad bookworm because I don’t know much about any of these events. One bookish thing I would really love to go to, though, is a book signing with Pierce Brown.
No, you’re not! I only know because I follow romance authors on social media and they post about attending them. I hope you get to go to that signing one day!
if you are close enough you should go to a Turn the Page bookstore signing I go to a lot of them they are so nice and town is so cute. A lot of romance authors go to those signings 🙂
I would love to go there, too! I forgot about that one. I’m so far away…and it feels even further these days. 🙁
I grew up near Portland, so I’ve been to Powell’s a few times. It’s amazing! I need to go back next time I visit my parents. Thanks for the reminder 🙂
Happy TTT!

You did? That’s awesome. I really like the Portland area. The last time I was there was last summer for my daughter’s soccer tournament. Of course I snuck in a trip to Powell’s! I hope you get to visit it soon.
8 & 9 are on my bucket list, if life ever goes back to normal! Great job this week!
Let’s hope it does so we can go! Thanks!
I have never been to any of these, though I almost went to ApollyCon when it was nearby
That would have been awesome! Do you regret not going?
There actually ended up being a bad ice storm, and the drive to Phily would have been tough. There were so many amazing authors there though.
UGH. I hate when weather (or now COVID) happens.
Book Bonanza is on my bucket list. I’ve been to ApollyCon twice and a few other major book signings because they were within driving distance from my home. I feel extremely lucky.
That’s awesome! I was lucky to go to BB18 with a friend, and I’m so glad I did now. I hope this COVID mess has gotten better so I can go next June, but I’m not crossing my fingers.
Third Place Books is great — I go there for book events all the time!
My TTT
I’ve been wanting to, but the last time I was planning on it was when it snowed here. And you know how driving in the snow in the greater Seattle area is. ICK.
Excellent choices. So many fun places to go to.
My TTT.
Thanks! Hopefully I’ll get to some of them one day.
I’m sure you will. Good luck.
I hope that things will be better and that you’ll be able to go to Book Bonanza next year!
You and me both! 😉
Powell’s is amazing, isn’t it?? I was a bit overwhelmed though. 😉 Hopefully we can start traveling again soon!
It is! I was overwhelmed, too.
You picked some fantastic events and bookstores. I have RARE on my list too, I actually had tickets for Edinburgh but sold them even before the pandemic. A few years ago I had the pleasure of going to Powell’s – it’s great! But if you ever get to LA you need to check out The Last Bookstore, and The Ripped Bodice.
How did I forget those two on my list? I would LOVE to go to them.
They are gorgeous stores 😍
It would be so cool to be able to go to all the book events! 🙂
It would! Maybe someday…
