Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday!
Top Ten Tuesday is an original weekly feature created by The Broke and the Bookish and is now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s topic is:
Today’s topic is:
Questions I Would Ask My Favorite Authors
I wrote this post and then deleted it. I HATED my questions. Some of them were just asking them if they would write certain books, so I decided to change this prompt around. My topic is:
Ten Books I Wish Authors Would Write
1. Thunder Road #4 – Addison’s book
Author: Katie McGarry
I know Katie McGarry has said we won’t get Addison’s book, but I wish we would.
2. WAGS #3 or Top Secret #2
Authors: Sarina Bowen & Elle Kennedy
Honestly, I would take anything these two authors would write together, but I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE another book set in the WAGS world.
3. All Closed Off (Rusk University, #4) – Stella’s book
Author: Cora Carmack
I know this book has been in the works for years and that Cora Carmack has had some health issues to deal with, but I would still love this one sooner than later. No pressure on her, though.
4. More Than #6 – Heidi’s book
Author: Jay McLean
Jay McLean has said before that Heidi isn’t getting a book, but I would like one for her.
5. Broken & Screwed #3 – Chord’s book
Author: Tijan
It probably wouldn’t actually be a Broken & Screwed book, but I would LOVE for Chord to get his own book.
Can we have another co-written book from you two soon?
6. When It’s Real #2 – Preston’s book
Authors: Erin Watt
I loved When It’s Real and would really like to know what happened to Preston.
7. Top Secret #2 – Annika’s book
Authors: Sarina Bowen & Elle Kennedy
I wouldn’t mind finding out more about Keaton’s ex Annika.
8. Cold Day in the Sun #2
Author: Sara Biren
I would love her to turn this book into a YA hockey romance series.
9. Gridiron #5
Author: Jen Frederick
I’ve missed Jen Frederick’s new adult sports romances. I was really hoping she would continue this college football series because it’s so fun and the character possibilities are endless.
10. Varsity, #4 – Hayden’s book
Author: Ginger Scott
I think this series is only supposed to be three books and that we kind of got an idea how things turned out for Hayden, but I would love to see things from his perspective, find out more about their family drama, and for him to get his own love story.
Do you want any of these books?
I hope you get to read all of these books someday.
My post .
Me, too! Thanks! š
I am desperate for more WAGs books. I love that world and those characters. I wish there were plans for more. And another Thunder Road book would be great. I’ve been waiting for the next Rusk University book for years. I know Cora has been struggling but I sure would prefer more Rusk books over the fantasy series she’s started.
Yeah, I haven’t even read the fantasy series. I feel bad about that, but I’m with you on wanting more of Rusk.
I am not familiar with any of these authors/series but I know what you mean. Sometimes after I finish a book I desperately want one more by that author. And when they die, like when Terry Pratchett died, I weep because I know there will be no more books from them. My TTT interview with Jane Austen
Yes, that is so tough when we lose an author and their future works.
Great twist on this week’s topic! I haven’t read any of these series, but I hope these books get written for you.
Thank you!
I hope all of these books are written for you soon.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thanks for stopping by!
I doubt it, but I can hope! š
This was a great alternative to this weeks topic! Great post!
Thank you! š
Fantastic idea!! You have me running through my mind on all the books I want a sequel to!
Thank you! You should do a post about it! I would love to see it.
I’ll do that!!
I really like this topic change š There’s definitely some series I’d love to see spin-off or continued.
Thank you! I would love to see a list of yours.
i love your spin on the prompt! You’ve got me thinking about all the books I would love for authors to write, š
Thank you! That’s a list I would like to see!
I wish we could order authors to do what we wanted. They should, I think. At least they should listen to our suggestions.
I know, right? LOL. Not what inspires them instead. Haha
So much fun!
Thanks!
I would love some more books by Erin Watt! Another Sara Biren book would be nice, too!
I’m glad you agree. š
Just like you, I’ve been waiting for Stella’s book for how many years now. Once Cora is well, I trust that she’ll write an amazing book! Also, while I love the Thunder Road series, I honestly can’t remember who Addison is lol. Time for a reread! And WAGS #3! I remember being so surprised when I saw in Sarina’s site that there are no other books planned in the series, but I could have sworn we were teased with the main characters of book 3 at the end of book 2…
Great list, Deanna! You made me want to reread so many series! <3
I agree! I’m glad you had the same thoughts. Thanks!
I don’t even know where to start, but mostly YES! I felt like there were more Thunder Road stories to tell (Stone?). I loved the WAGS books, and didn’t they set up the a next book at the end of book 2? One of the guys and a skater, no? We totally need to go back to Rusk U. Those books were so good
Thanks! I’m glad you agree with all of these!!!
Ooooh this was so interesting to read! I love how you changed the prompt. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks!
What a brilliant topic!!
Thank you!
I hope some of these happen in the future for you!
Thanks!
Great spin on the topic. I had one of those moments where my mind was a total blank, so sat this week out. Couldn’t even think of another topic! I may steal this one for future use.
Thank you! You’re totally welcome to steal it!
I’m not familiar with any of these books, but I do like this topic! How much do you think readers’ reactions to certain books influence which ones authors write next? I would be curious to know.
Happy TTT!

Thank you!
I love what you did with this week’s topic. Maybe one day! š
Thank you!
Fun topic! I’ve not read any of these but I definitely have my own list of series that I would love to see extended out to another book.
Thank you!
Ooh this is a good topic. I can think of a few books I’d like authors to write- sometimes certain characters just cry out for their own books. š
Thank you! Yes, I totally agree.
I like your “twist” on the topic this week. It can be frustrating sometimes not knowing what happens next or what happens to another character once a book is over. It would be nice if we could have all of our questions answered!
Thank you! It really would!
I don’t know these, but I get why you would want more of them. I feel that way about The Huntress by Kate Quinn and wished she’d write a book just about one of the characters in that book – Nina!
I like your twist on this topic. The only author on this list I’ve read is Katie McGarry, although I did take a class at a conference once that Ginger Scott gave, and she was very nice.
Thank you!
Yes, Ginger Scott is so no! I met her once as well. And she’s a great writer.
Interesting questions! Esp the one about a YA hockey romance series- that would be a novel idea! (pardon the pun)
LOL. Love it! š
Ohhh, what a great TTT this is! You already have me thinking about some of my faves with this TTT in mind lol
PS: this one is me! Verushka š I’m having logging in issues today!
LOL Thanks! š
Thank you! You should do a post like it!
Lots of interesting questions to your authors. I hope they will listen! Good luck.
Thanks for visiting my TTT earlier.
Thanks!
Jay McLean could write just about anything and I’d probably read it. Great list!!
I know, right? She’s a master! Thank you!
Yes I totally agree with you on Erin Watt’s When it’s Real. I read that book and then reread it, and it’s been ages and I want more. I haven’t read the rest of the books you wrote, but fingers crossed! Hope the authors write them!!
Yess I totally agree on Erin Watt’s When it’s real. I love this book. I read it, then squealed and then reread it, and I want moreee. I haven’t read the rest you mentioned, but fingers crossed. Hope the authors write them!!
Heres My TTT
Thanks!
Yes, When It’s Real is a total gem. I need a reread soon.
Another reread for me too I think š
Yes to the WAG book!! I still need to read a few of the series you mentioned.
I hope you love them!!!
All new authors to me. There are some good questions. Thank you for stopping by my TTT!!
Thank you!
Oh I like your twist this week! I haven’t read any of these authors, but I can think of several books I’d love for authors to write. š
Thank you! I hope your authors write them!
Thank you!
I like your twist on the prompt! I don’t think I’ve heard of most of these books, but I do so relate to the idea that authors should write more of certain series. xD Or sequels to certain books!
Thank you!
We need an Addison book. I know that one of her short stories focused on Addison and teased a potential romance and all that, but I feel like her story needs to be told. Admittedly, I also want to see more of Breanna and Razor and the Thunder Road gang in general.
Yeah, I hear you. I want the same! š
ohooo! this is a creative turn! well done.
Thanks!
All Closed Off yeeeeeeah! I’d love if we got that book! Cora Carmack has been through rough times, but maybe someday she’ll surprise us with Stella’s story. Rusk University is one of my favorite new adult series. š
I hope she does, but I totally get why she hasn’t.
Yeah, me too.
Top Secret #2 would be good. I can’t wait to read WAGS and Gridiron. I love Thunder Road books 1 & 2, and then I never got around to 3. Need to do that soon.
Yes! Read Thunder Road #3. It was good!
