Synopsis:
In a Holidaze, the quintessential holiday romantic novel by the New York Times bestselling author of The Unhoneymooners, asks what happens when wishes come true…
It’s the most wonderful time of the year…but not for Maelyn Jones. She’s living with her parents, hates her going-nowhere job, and has just made a romantic error of epic proportions.
But perhaps worst of all, this is the last Christmas Mae will be at her favorite place in the world—the snowy Utah cabin where she and her family have spent every holiday since she was born, along with two other beloved families. Mentally melting down as she drives away from the cabin for the final time, Mae throws out what she thinks is a simple plea to the universe: Please. Show me what will make me happy.
The next thing she knows, tires screech and metal collides, everything goes black. But when Mae gasps awake…she’s on an airplane bound for Utah, where she begins the same holiday all over again. With one hilarious disaster after another sending her back to the plane, Mae must figure out how to break free of the strange time loop—and finally get her true love under the mistletoe.
Jam-packed with yuletide cheer, an unforgettable cast of characters, and Christina Lauren’s trademark “downright hilarious” (Helen Hoang, author of The Bride Test) hijinks, this swoon-worthy romantic read will make you believe in the power of wishes and the magic of the holidays.
A holiday romance from Christina Lauren? Yes, please!
There was so much to enjoy about In a Holidaze. I loved the whole Groundhog Day movie vibe to the story. Normally, I’m not into the whole time travel thing, but it worked for this holiday romance. I loved what Maelyn learned from the past. It was also fun to see how different scenarios worked out not only for Maelyn, but the whole group.
I have to admit I wasn’t sold on the romance aspect of this book at first. There were some things that I was low key embarrassed for Maelyn about. I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about things, but the charm in the romance was how it all played out. I was a believer by the end.
If you’re looking for a cute holiday romance for any time of the year, I would recommend In a Holidaze. It will put you in a festive mood.
I rarely read holiday and seasonal romances, but with a CL novel I had to make an exception, and wasn’t it the best kind of novel for x-mas feelings?

It really was. I loved how warm and fuzzy it was. I usually only read them from authors I already know and series I’ve already read.
I loved this book. I really felt those warm fuzzy holiday vibes. I wasn’t that sold on the romance conflict, but I did enjoy seeing Mae learn, grow, and get her guy
You’re right about all of that. It was a warm and fuzzy book. I also liked seeing Mae grow.
Great review! Christina Lauren has had a few hits and misses for me lately. I have this one on the TBR, but I haven’t 100% decided if I want to pick it up or not.
Thank you! I’m sure there will be other reviews coming to help you decide. 🙂
Undoubtedly. And, truth be told, I’ll probably end up picking it up either way.

I love the wordplay ‘Holidaze’. Glad this was a good read in the end. Wonderful review.
Time travel aspects can be hit or miss so I’m glad to see it worked here. I’m excited to dive into this one…soon!
I can’t wait to hear what you think about it!
I’m so curious about this one and will definitely be grabbing it up – in a few months lol! Is it just me or has romance really seemed to take the second stage in CL’s newer and traditionally published books? I know they’re less steamy, but I miss the passion that they did so well in the past. Anyhoo, looking forward to this!
I miss those first series, too. I mean, I like these, but I wish they would do more of the others too.
This one’s on my TBR list! I’m glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
Thanks! I hope you do, too.
