Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday!
Top Ten Tuesday is an original weekly feature created by The Broke and the Bookish and is now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s topic is:
Books I Hope Santa Brings
Since Christmas (for those who celebrate) is in 2 days, I’m going to change things up and do something non book related. Today, I’m sharing with you:
Some of My Favorite Holiday Music
These are songs I’ve got playing on my Spotify Playlist. Videos shared are from YouTube.
1. Come On, Ring Those Bells
Artist: Evie
This is an old school favorite from my childhood when we listened to this album on a RECORD PLAYER. *gasp*
2. River
Arist: Sarah McLachlan
I’m a big fan of Sarah McLachlan’s voice, and I love what it does to this song.
3. All I Want for Christmas Is You
Arist: Mariah Carey
How could this not make a holiday music list for anyone who grew up in the 90’s?
4. Last Christmas
Artist: Wham
Much love for this one!
5. Grown-Up Christmas List
Artist: Amy Grant
This is another one that reminds me of my childhood.
6. Hot Chocolate
Artist: Tom Hanks
I adore this one because my daughter used to make us watch the movie year round and she would dance to this song when she was like 2.
7. O Holy Night
Artist: Christina Aguilera
I have this CD from when it originally came out. I always liked this version.
8. Mary Did You Know
Artists: Pentatonix
I could have put any and all Pentatonix holiday albums on here. I especially love this version they did.
9. Winter Song
Artist: Sarah McLachlan
And we’re back to Sarah McLachlan. Love this one.
10. Silent Night
Artist: Jessica Simpson
I actually really love this entire album and her voice on it.
Hot Chocolate was a good song. And I’m a big fan of Pentatonix!
My post.
They’re so good! I still love their covers most.
I am more partial to the classics, but Grown Up Christmas list is a beautiful song
I like the classics and the newer ones. At least I had one you like!
This is such a fun post! That Pentatonix version of Mary Did You Know is one of my favorites. 🙂
Thank you! Yes, it’s so good!
Great choices! I like the Wham! one a lot. Another Amy Grant one I like is “I Need a Silent Night.”
Oh, I need to look that one up.
I’m not a big lover of christmas songs but I do really like Grown-Up Christmas List 😊
It reminds me of childhood.
I love Christmas music! O Holy Night and Silent Night are favorites. 🙂
They’re just so nostalgic. Makes me think of being young.
I hadn’t heard some of these in so long. I love the first one, I had never heard it before, it sure is catchy and has a great message. Great share Deanna.
That first one is straight out of the 70s. My mom used to play the entire RECORD of it. All of her songs on that album are similar in message. Thanks!
Yes Amy Grant! A lot of my childhood Christmas memories include listening to an Amy Grant Christmas RECORD while putting up the tree haha.
Yes, RECORDS! My mom always played the Evie album. I can’t hear her songs without thinking of being a kid at Christmas.
Such a wonderful list but LAST CHRISTMAS!!! It’s my fave and now I need to go listen to it!! 🙂
I could listen to that one on repeat!
Nice idea to do Christmas songs. I have a long list of books, so this week, my TTT has no twist.
Happy Christmas.
Hey, that’s great!
Love a bit of festive music! Merry Christmas 🙂
Thanks! Merry Christmas!
Ooh, I like your off-topic post this week. I wish I had thought of it. My mom and I were just listening to Pentatonix’ Mary Did You Know last night. It’s gorgeous! And Amy Grant’s holiday music is the soundtrack of all my childhood Christmases.
Thank you! I’m glad I had some of your favorites on here!
O HOLY NIGHT and MARY, DID YOU KNOW? are two of my all-time favorite Christmas songs. It’s obvious when you look at my Christmas playlist on Spotify – I’ve got numerous renditions of both 🙂 I actually haven’t heard a few of the ones you’ve listed, so I’m going to check them out. Fun twist on the topic! I love Christmas music.
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!

Yay! I hope you like these versions! Happy holidays!
Great picks! xx
Fun list of songs! Mary Did You Know is one of my favorites…especially the Pentatonix version of it. And I love Carey’s All I Want For Christmas. 😀
Thank you! I’m glad we have some music taste in common. 🙂
I am LOVING this list! I love that you have all of these fabulous Christmas songs on here! There’s only a couple I hadn’t heard before. 😉
Thank you! 🙂
I’ve listened to that Mariah Carey song about a thousand times this month. I never get sick of it.
How could you? It’s so classically good!
I’ve been annoying my kids because I keep singing the Hot Chocolate song. LOL! I love Pentatonix’s Mary Did You Know, too! Great list!!
LOL. It’s such a cute song! I need to make my daughter watch that movie in the next couple of days.
Thank you! And happy holidays!
I love, love, love Last Christmas. Especially because it is so hummable! I remember MTV once put this song in one of its Top 100 Songs of the Last Millennium, back when 2000 was closing. Like the Chistmas-y spin on this week’s TTT 🙂
Thanks! Yes, it deserves to be on that list!
Last Christmas has to be one of my favourites!
It’s just so good!
We should just make Mariah Carey’s All I Want for Christmas Is You the official Christmas song. I love how timeless it is.
Awesome list! Love the Wham song
Thanks! It’s such a fun song.
SO many great ones on here! I looooove Sarah McLachlan. (I’ve seen her in concert 3 times!) Her Christmas album is a must every holiday season. And I have a lot of nostalgia for the Amy Grant song, too. <3
I only saw her once in the 90s, but it was amazing.
