  1. I’m so excited about Anxious People! I really meant to get to it in 2020, but then I kept getting distracted by other things… I’ve had Ten Thousand Doors on my TBR for the longest time too.

I’m glad you had such a great reading year πŸ™‚

  2. Great list Deanna. I love that you said 12 of my favorites. I could never come up with my top 10 or 12. I have read a couple of these, but will be adding a couple of them. I have been waiting for the release of audiobook for The Wrong Family and got it today. I will be listening to it very soon.

  3. Love seeing Anxious People on this list. It’s on my must-read for next year. Backman can do no wrong as far as I’m concerned haha.

  4. The Ten Thousand Doors of January was great, and I liked her newest, The Once and Future Witches, even more. I haven’t read any of the others on your list. Happy reading in 2021!

  5. I’ve heard so many good things about the books on your list! My TBR is not going to be able to hold all of these titles. If I were to pick one, I think it would be The Thousand Doors of January.

  6. Great list! The Sun Down Motel made mine this week too. I also really enjoyed Anxious People and that Chanel Cleeton book. I haven’t read Forever Wild yet, but The Simple Wild made my list this year. I’m hoping to read the next book and the holiday novella sometime in the next few weeks.

  7. I’ve been seeing Anxious People on several people’s lists. I’m so curious about it now. I want to read The Ten Thousand Doors of January too. It sounds so good. πŸ™‚

  8. I haven’t read The Ten Thousand Doors of January yet but I read Alix E Harrow’s new book, The Once and Future Witches, this year which was really good, though it didn’t quite make my top 10.

  9. I’ve only ever read Simon St. James from here. She makes the paranormal downright scary and totally believable. Happy 2021, and here’s to many more wonderful reads.

  10. I’ve read six of your ten πŸ˜€ and there are some like Open Book and Anxious People I can’t wait to put on my bookshelf. I already own You’d Be Mine, and I can’t wait to read Simone St. James’s next book.
