Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday!
Top Ten Tuesday is an original weekly feature created hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s topic is:
Resolutions/Hopes for 2021
I don’t normally do resolutions and I decided to approach 2021 with VERY LOW expectations, so I’m going to skip this topic. Instead, I’m going to give you:
Books from the Depths of My Kindle I Plan to Read in 2021
I try to go through my Kindle at least yearly and dump books I know I won’t read. I got rid of a bunch and then got inspired to read at least twelve of them in 2021. I actually already got started on doing this with Lex Martin’s Dearest Clementine and Kandi Steiner’s On the Rocks. That’s why my list has ten.
I hope you enjoy all of these books.
My post.
Thanks! I hope I do, too!
Hope you enjoy these when you get around to them this year! 😀
Thanks! I’m hoping so, too! If not, I’m going to DNF and get them off this list! 😉
Oh, wow, okay, first of all, just calling me out in the title like that? How dare you?! Also, the depths of my Kindle are limitless and potentially deadly, like the Marianas Trench. xD I actually love this idea. It’s been probably two years since I actually looked at what’s on my Kindle. I actually rediscovered I had already purchased several books that I went to purchase last year, and if that’s not a cry for help, I don’t know what is.
These all look like interesting books, and i hope you get the chance to read them all!
Here’s my TTT post.
LOL. I was like, wait! What? Calling you out? Then I read the rest of your comment and laughed. Sorry about that. 😉 I hope you get to read some of those books in Marianas Trench.
Good goal. I actually read three of these. They were all emotional and angsty. Super entertaining though
Thank you! Yeah, I think the angsty is why I haven’t read some of them. I will have to space them out.
2013 Lyra ADORED True Love Story! It was so messy and toxic, and I couldn’t get enough! I also really liked Rush!
Oh really? I will have to push those up on my list!!!
Good luck getting to these. I hope you find some real gems among them!
Thanks! I am making them a priority!
I am with you on keeping low expectations! If we can go to the grocery store without having to wear a mask, I’ll count the year as a win. I recognize a couple of those covers as books I downloaded years ago on my old Nook! I haven’t read them, either.
Yeah, I don’t even see that happening. I think masks are here to stay for a long time. But I’m just low expectations like that. Maybe you should read them, too! 😉
Lol someone telling me to lower my expectations even more than they already are doesn’t happen often lol. I will need to reassess. And I think I’ll wait and see what you think of those books first!
Which ones are they?
Beloved and The Pact. I also thought A Charmed Little Lie looked familiar, but I looked it up and I actually read that one.
LOL. I think you and Brandie are the reason that one was on my TBR in the first place. Your two reviews are the only reason I kept it.
I bet Beloved is good. Have you read Corinne Michaels before? I am thinking you would like her books.
I don’t think so. I think I initially downloaded it when I used to download every free book I saw in those Bookbub e-mails haha.
I’ve got stuff buried in my Kindle I need to read too, so I can relate. 🙂 I hope you get to all these, and that they’re good. I like that cover for Killing Sarai! Yikes!!
Thank you!
I definitely lose track of ebooks I’ve purchased much easier than print books! I tend to borrow ebooks from the library, too, so those always have to be read first. I feel the same as you about going into 2021 with low expectations, and I didn’t make resolutions either. If I can blog a little more, read a little more, and not wallow in despair too much over the fresh round of cancellations that have already started, I’ll pat myself on the back!
Hey, any little thing this year completed or done deserves a pat on the back!
Great list! I hope you will be able to get to these. I should probably follow your lead as I have way too many oldies on my kindle. xD
Thank you! One down…
Ah, the dreaded Kindle backlist! I am afraid of mine, so I must applaud you on doing a dump! I keep mine because they don’t really get in my way technically, and what if I want to read them someday? (This is, of course, a lie every bookish person tells themselves, I am never going to read a single one and we know this 😂) I hope you get to all of these, and that they are good!
What really helped me was taking a couple hours and looking each book up on Goodreads. If it didn’t sound like something I would read and the reviews lead me to believe I didn’t want to read it, I deleted. I don’t even feel bad now. I feel free!
I hope you’ll get to all these books. I don’t do many deals and yet I still have so many ebooks on my ereader, haha. Its like a maze in there.
Thank you! I already got one down, so I’m hopeful!
Good luck with that, Deanna.
My goal is to Read more Books from my TBR pile and therefore I participate in several challenges.
Thank you! I already knocked one off! Onto the second! Good luck on your goals.
I’m working on a few. Should finish some soon.
Good luck!
Oooh! Great list. I’ve had Punk 57 and Beloved on my TBR forever. I forgot about them! LOL
Thanks!
LOL Maybe you need to read them this year as well! 😉
I really want to read more of K.A. Tucker’s books! I hope you’re able to read these all this year.
Me, too! I need to catch up on her backlist. Thanks!
Going into 2021 with very low expectations is a serious mood 😂 I’m really hoping to slash my way through my existing books this year too so I think this is a great post and might be inspiring me to do one at some point for my Kindle books! Also, I keep finding out K.A. Tucker has written more and more books and my TBR now keeps growing 😅 Hope you enjoy all of these, Deanna!
She’s written quite a few! I loved her Ten Tiny Breaths series, if you’re interested in reading more of hers.
Becoming Rain!! I love that book so much! Also Punk 57! I remember reading that and thinking “damn, these kids have a more sexually active life than adult me” lmao!
LOL I’m happy to hear you loved Becoming Rain. I can’t wait to get to it. And that’s interesting about Punk 57…
I had to laugh at your comment about approaching 2021 with low expectations. LOL I am an eternal optimist and it is so unlike me to have low expectations, but I am also a realist. And the way everyone was talking about “can’t wait for 2021!” as if a switch was going to get flipped and everything would magically go back to the old normal just made me chuckle. So yeah, my expectations for this year are pretty darn low, too. 🙂
Leo was the first book I read by Mia Sheridan and I loved it so hard. I’m curious how I’d feel now (5 years later). And I’m excited to see what you think of it when you get to it. I read Killing Sarai several years ago but for some reason never continued with the series.
Glad I’m not alone in the low expectations!
I will let you know what I think of Leo for sure. I loved Archer’s Voice. I also read a book of hers that was more recent that was just okay for me. I’m starting Killing Sarai later today. If I like it, I’ll probably binge the series and let you know about the rest of them.
I just love that we both went for the same topic this week! Plus, A Charmed Little Lie looks really good. Adding that to my TBR pile … which I’m supposed to be clearing out …
It was cute! I hear you on that…
Oh, I love your twist! I haven’t heard of this one by KA Tucker. I’ll have to check it out. And I hope you let us know your thoughts after you read all of these! Happy Reading. <3
Thanks! I think it’s part of a whole series by Tucker. I haven’t read them yet. It may turn into a series binge, if I’m not careful. Happy reading!
Enjoy your buried books! I Hope you can stop by:

Colletta
Thanks, I will.
Great list! I can see that you are already reading 2 of these. Way to go! I hope that you will enjoy all of these books. Happy reading.
Thanks! I am! The last one is darker and intense, but I’m still liking it.
ooh I want to read a couple backlist items off my tbr too. There have been quite a few books in 2020 that I didn’t get to. I hope I can check them off this year. Enjoy all of them!!

Which ones do you have on your backlist to read?
Somehow I have quite a few books sitting on my Kindle and some audiobooks as well to read. I should probably avoid adding more, but there’s always something new to add to that large list! I hope that you enjoy all of these!
Thanks! Yes, there is always something new to add.
I hope you end up enjoying all of these.
Thanks!
